Annually, nearly 100,000 women, men and teens receive care from a Planned Parenthood health center in Ohio. One in five women will receive care from Planned Parenthood at some point in her life. Behind every number is a human face. Behind every statistic is a mother, a daughter, a family who might have gone without treatment for a disease or would have experienced an unplanned pregnancy if it hadn’t been for the doctors and nurses of Planned Parenthood.
Despite this good work, legislators in Congress and the Ohio Statehouse are spreading lies and misinformation about who we are and what we do.
It is up to us to defend against the attacks. Our medical providers, patients and activists are best equipped to demonstrate the vital role that Planned Parenthood plays in the lives of individuals, families and the community.
